🌿 Made in the old world manner of the 1700s, our true Castile soap contains only three humble ingredients: olive oil, water, and lye.
Before tallow soaps filled colonial kitchens, Castile bars were prized imports — known for their pale color, fine lather, and remarkable gentleness on the skin. Wealthier households kept them for bathing, linens, and delicate washing.
We follow that same slow craft today. Pure olive oil is carefully saponified and poured by hand, then cured for many weeks upon wooden racks until firm and long-lasting. The result is a quiet, creamy bar with a soft, lotion-like lather that cleans without stripping the skin.
No fragrance. No colorants. Nothing extra.
Simply soap, as it would have been made centuries ago.
